The recovery and restoration projects of the archaeological excavations of Nora continue unabated. In recent days the Municipality of Pula signed the agreement with the Superintendency for the restoration, consolidation and valorisation project of the archaeological park: the intervention will be financed by Regional Law 17 of 2021 for an amount of 330 thousand euros.

The mayor, Walter Cabasino, presents the work plan which should help protect the most at-risk areas of the archaeological area: «First of all, we will intervene with a consolidation and restoration operation of the wall structures, plasters and floor coverings which are found in the house of Favonia, east of the forum. But very important will be the works that will concern the southern sector of the former military area, in the so-called Kasbah, in the private homes known as Director Tronchetti's House, in the well house and in the Levante spa. Furthermore, limited excavation interventions are planned near the atrium embellished with mosaics, in the Lavante spa".

Furthermore, Cabasino guarantees maximum commitment to carry out other interventions capable of preserving Nora from the action of time and erosion: «This archaeological park represents the greatest cultural heritage of the Pula community, it is our task to protect it to allow everyone , today and tomorrow, to enjoy its beauty."
