Green light for the safety works on the stretch of coast of Santa Margherita dominated by the Cala d'Ostia tower: the Municipality of Pula has signed a contract with the company for the design and execution of the interventions that will make the area protected from erosion.

The work, financed thanks to the contribution of 200 thousand euros from the Pnrr, will be carried out by the company Ledda Costruzioni: the definitive and executive design is expected in 60 days, while the works must be completed within 120 days of the approval of the project.

For the deputy mayor and councilor for public works, Elisabetta Loi, the works will allow a significant stretch of coast to be preserved from the erosive action of the sea: «Pula is preparing for the next summer season, starting with the safety of the stretch of coast in close to the Spanish tower of Cala d'Ostia, this is an important intervention, which will allow us to limit the problems caused by the hydrogeological instability that has been affecting this coast for years. The objective is also to make an identifying asset such as the ancient tower usable."
