A few days ago the provisional assignment of the 5.4 million contract for five years of the municipal shelter for the elderly in Viale Trieste which, after twenty years, saw the end of the management of the Nuoro coop "Progetto Uomo" in favor of the company Salerno "Together" .

But there is controversy over the contract with the minority municipal councilor of the Progetto per Nuoro group, Lisetta Budoni , who in a question to the mayor of Nuoro asks what pushed «the Administration to choose a method of attributing the overall score which favors in the final result the economic offer at the lowest price and not the quality of the service".

Bidoni herself recalls how the judging commission, despite having assigned the Progetto Uomo cooperative of Nuoro the maximum technical score (72.72) in relation to the quality of the service to be provided (programming and management of services, organization and quality of services, proposals for improving the service ), then placed it «last in the final ranking having made a limited economic reduction».

The economic discount applied by the Insieme di Salerno cooperative is 6.5% of the contract (with a total value of 5,456,750 euros excluding VAT), which for Bidoni «will inevitably lead to cuts in management and personnel costs with the related repercussions on the quality of the service. A fact that worries us quite a bit."

The question asks for certainties on the quality of the needs of the elderly currently hosted in the protected communities of Via Trieste, but also on the employment level "to guarantee continuity and respect for the contractual conditions of the employees currently in service".

Finally, Bidoni asks what the municipality intends to do to "avoid cuts to the health and nursing service, to welfare, care and socialization activities".
