A 26-year-old from Sassari reported by the police for dangerous explosions, carrying weapons or objects capable of offending and receiving stolen goods.

The young man was stopped by the military, who intervened on the Balai seafront, after repeated reports from citizens, alarmed because near the beach the young man, armed with a gun, was firing shots into the air.

Upon seeing the soldiers, the 26-year-old threw the weapon into the water, but the police managed to locate an 8 caliber blank cartridge, establishing that it was a dog swatter.

Following the search of the young man, the soldiers then found a scalpel, a Swiss army knife, 7 cal. bullets on the young man. 8 blanks of explosives and marijuana.

Furthermore, the 26-year-old had with him the key to a Honda Jazz, which was found stolen. The young man will therefore also have to answer for receiving stolen goods.

The car was instead returned to its rightful owner.
