Not a square but a huge car park, not spared from degradation. It is called Piazza Marinaru, the open space that in Porto Torres, some time ago, was named after the poet Peppino Bazzoni, a due recognition for a place that did not have the right decorum. The torn tiles represent a risk for pedestrians and a bad sight for the eyes.

The pavement is uneven and damaged by the vehicles that occupy the spaces for cars every day. It overlooks Via Libio in front of the courtyard of the Palazzo del Marchese, a few steps from the town hall, but respect and civic sense are completely absent. It does not guarantee any safety to passers-by who pass through it.

You risk tripping just when you try to find shelter the moment you cross the road. Some of the residents ask for the damaged parts to be restored, others believe that the square should have another destination, a pedestrian passage that restores dignity to a square dedicated to a man of culture from Turrita.
