When we talk about eternity, our thoughts immediately go to barriers . Those positioned for about a year on Lungomare Balai, in Porto Torres , are now part of the street furniture. They should warn that the pillar damaged following the impact of a car, which crashed into that corner of the railing that delimits the Scoglio Lungo beach, is unsafe. A "decoration" that smacks of abandonment, but also of carelessness . "If there is a danger, it should be resolved, not reported in the hope that it will hold up."

The barriers also limit the space intended for pedestrians and diminish the beauty of the panorama in front of a body of water that many appreciate. Even the tourists who crowd the beaches in that stretch of coast. Yet the barriers have become the modern walls of some areas of the city. And on the Lungomare they have resisted for months, waiting for the damaged wall to be made safe and restored.

An important signal to free up space and restore decorum.
