As part of the Asinara Camp project, the young participants involved in the WWF's #ripartiamo Italia campaign carried out three waste collection operations in three different areas of the splendid Trabuccato beach, in front of a transparent and crystalline sea characterized by the scarce presence of posidonia.

The volunteers removed plastic objects, fishing gear, but also material of various kinds dating back to the period of prison on the island, collected right near where the penitentiary institute stood, the detachment that housed dangerous prisoners and the "undelivered". prisoners not subjected to continuous surveillance.

«The beach is not a deposit - observe the volunteers - and in addition to the behavior of people who abandon plastic material, food should not be left in the sand and should not be considered an organic part of the environment. However, happy not to have found cigarette butts unlike the other coasts of Porto Torres ».
