Porto Cervo: Man who ran over and killed neighbor with car: sentencing pending
Final proceedings against Mario Masala, 40, accused of the murder of Tonino Pirastru.

At the Tempio Pausania court, sentence is imminent for the case of Tonino Pirastru , the pensioner killed by his neighbor , in Porto Cervo , on July 3, 2024.
Mario Masala , 40, from Sassari, is charged with voluntary manslaughter. Prosecutor Milena Aucone has requested a 16-year prison sentence for Masala.
According to the Tempio Pausania Prosecutor's Office, Masala deliberately hit the victim with his van. This theory is shared by the plaintiff.
The investigating judge Alessandro Cossu retired to the council chamber.
