On Sunday, December 14th, we return to the stage of the Parodi Theatre in Porto Torres to continue the contemporary theater season with actor Mario Perrotta, who presents his award-winning play dedicated to the life of painter Antonio Ligabue: "Un bès." A portrait of an artist and an extraordinary life. Mario Perrotta, one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Italian theater, brings to the stage the solitude of the celebrated painter Antonio Ligabue, the torment of a soul aware of being both a social outcast and an artist, his existence on the margins: where a kiss, a bès, is just a dream. "I too want to stand on the edge and observe others. And, always on the edge, ask myself what is inside and what is outside," says actor and director Mario Perrotta. He has received numerous awards, including the Italian Theater Oscar—the Ubu Prize—for Best Actor, the Hystrio Prize for best show of the year according to the public, and the ANCT Critics' Award. Perrotta, particularly drawn to Ligabue's life, captures his sense of loneliness and his choice to live on the margins. The event is organized by the association La Camera Chiara.
