Cagliari police, led by the Questore, have implemented several measures to stop those who pose a danger to public order before they commit a crime. And the numbers speak for themselves: in the first four months of 2025, 109 preventive measures were adopted, largely aimed at individuals known for violence, harassment or alarming behavior.
Among these, 14 mandatory expulsion orders, like the one that hit a criminal removed from Monserrato, where he was wandering around the parking lots of a hospital without any need, harassing and threatening patients and staff.
Sixteen oral warnings were served to as many individuals with previous convictions for crimes against property and the person, while 6 proposals for special surveillance were sent to the Court, in particular for individuals involved in serious episodes of domestic violence and stalking.
The sports front was no exception: 27 Daspos hit violent fans from Cagliari, Napoli and Juventus. Not just stadiums: 7 DACur were issued against dangerous individuals in nightlife contexts, as in the sensational case of a man who, after a brawl in a club, tried to run over a rival with his car in the city center. For him, a three-year ban from entering Cagliari's nightclubs.
But it is on gender violence that the Police Headquarters has intensified its efforts: 39 warnings were issued for stalking and mistreatment, often in dramatic situations. Like that of January 20, when a man of Chinese origin threatened his partner's children with a cleaver. Or the disturbing case of a woman who, by dressing up and stalking her ex's new partner, led the victim into an abyss of anguish and stress.
“Prevention is better than cure”, says the proverb, and this is the philosophy that inspires the actions of the Cagliari Police Headquarters .
