Pole collapses on tracks: fear on the Sassari-Porto Torres line
The technicians of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana intervened immediately and asked for help from the fire brigade. The journey was cancelled.

Fear on the railway network along the Sassari-Porto Torres route: a large signal pole ended up on the tracks, triggering the alarm.
It happened in the afternoon, at kilometer 156, near Ottava. The technicians of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana intervened immediately and called for help from the firefighters of the Sassari command. Luckily, at that moment the train was not passing.
The operations to remove the pole involved the 115 teams who secured the area.
Rfi technicians verified that there was no damage to the railway network. The Carabinieri were also on site to ascertain the causes of the collapse. Traffic was slowed down for over an hour.
The ride was then cancelled: the pole, even though removed, made the track impassable.
