Yesterday evening the Carabinieri of the Pirri station arrested a 43-year-old from Quartu for detention for the purpose of drug dealing .
In a basement in via San Tommaso d'Aquino, the military found 9 and a half kilos of marijuana , over 3 kilos of hashish , various material for packaging the drug in doses , a vacuum packing machine , a scale and shipping bags .
On the spot, the Carabinieri also found 350 euros in small denomination banknotes , probable proceeds from illegal activities , and another vacuum packing machine. The man was taken to Uta , awaiting the validation hearing, and was then placed under house arrest , awaiting trial.
The 43-year-old's business had long been in the sights of the military who kept an eye on him even from a distance with binoculars.
