In the investigations into the accident that cost the life of Piero Ghiaccio , there is a new element that could mark the turning point: the ghost car that supposedly ran over the former financier and deputy mayor of Scano Montiferro on the provincial road to Putzu Idu has been identified .

This is an Alfa Romeo Giulietta that investigators are focusing on to try to trace the driver .

The dynamics of the accident that occurred on the night between June 8 and 9 had immediately appeared unclear to the Carabinieri. Immediately after the impact, it emerged that a car had grazed the deputy mayor, who had broken down on Provincial Road 10 with his Harley Davidson without fuel . And just as he was trying to move the motorcycle to the side of the road, waiting for a nephew who was supposed to bring him petrol, Ghiaccio was hit by another vehicle: the driver continued on his way, without stopping to provide assistance. Finally, a third car ended up on the motorcycle.

The Prosecutor's Office has opened a case for road homicide , two cars (an Audi and a Cupra) have been seized while the two drivers, a 52-year-old woman from Solarussa and a 27-year-old man from Bauladu, have been entered into the register of suspects.

A necessary act, necessary to be able to carry out a series of unrepeatable checks and to protect the people involved. Already from the first surveys it emerged that on the two seized vehicles there would be no biological traces or damage such as to suggest an impact as violent as the one that left no escape for the former financier . The investigators are examining the footage from the cameras of the towns in the area and from private video surveillance systems, in addition to elements collected on the Provincial Road that allowed them to identify the phantom car.
