Parents attacked by their son in Santa Maria Coghinas: serious but stable conditions

The two spouses reduced to death by their son yesterday in Santa Maria Coghinas remain hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari.
Both subjected to surgery, they have survived the night but remain in critical condition: the 68-year-old Giuseppe Picci is very serious, while the conditions of his wife, Maria Giovanna Drago, cause less concern.
The man was pierced in the throat and skull by a harpoon fired by his son, Alberto Picci , with a diving rifle. Last night the surgeons extracted the harpoon with a very delicate operation, which lasted hours.
The woman had already been operated on yesterday morning for head injuries, always by her son, with a kitchen fork.
THE INVESTIGATIONS - Alberto Picci, arrested yesterday at dawn by the carabinieri of the Valledoria Company, is now locked up in the San Sebastiano prison where already today, assisted by the lawyer Tania Decortes, he could appear before the investigating judge to validate the arrest.
The deputy prosecutor Angelo Beccu, owner of the investigation, accuses him of double attempted aggravated murder .
THE "RAPTUS" - Yesterday the attacker first to the investigators, then to his lawyer, made very few statements. Still in a daze , he asked how his parents were doing and said he woke up in the middle of the night after hearing noises.
On the attack on the parents, which investigators currently believe was a "raptus" triggered by causes yet to be clarified, Alberto Picci said he did not remember anything.
