Emanuele Ragnedda's confession (completely videotaped at the express request of defense attorney Luca Montella) has in no way closed the investigation into Cinzia Pinna's murder. Carabinieri investigators, led by Colonel Nicola Pilia and Lieutenant Loris Coppola, are continuing to reconstruct all phases of the crime and Ragnedda's conduct from September 12th to September 24th (the day of his arrest). Prosecutor Noemi Mancini is reportedly investigating certain circumstances that could implicate other individuals . There is talk of the movement of certain items that may belong to the victim . No further information has emerged from investigative circles on this matter, but the Carabinieri's work has continued today.
The investigations at the Conca Entosa house, entrusted to the RIS (Italian Special Investigations Unit) in Cagliari, are not the only ones underway. The Carabinieri are reportedly continuing their work in Palau and Arzachena .
The position of the second suspect, a young man from Lombardy, has also not been fully clarified . It must be said that, based on specific evidence, his presence in the Conca Entosa house on the night of the murder has been ruled out. Furthermore, the young man played no role in moving the woman's body. However, it remains unclear why the young man had contact with Ragnedda after the crime. The defense attorneys (Antonello Desini, Maurizio, and Nicoletta Mani) have expressed confidence that their client will soon be definitively released from the investigation.
A hearing to validate Ragnedda's arrest has not yet been scheduled. The autopsy (identification of the body) could be completed in the next few hours . The victim's family's lawyers, Antonella and Nino Cuccureddu, are awaiting a summons from the Tempio Prosecutor's Office.
