From intense heat to severe weather warning: "Eastern Sardinia, severe thunderstorms possible."

After the intense heat , a warning for heavy rain has been issued. The regional Civil Protection Department has issued a yellow-rated critical thunderstorm warning, affecting all eastern parts of the island except Gallura.

The critical period is considered to be from 12 pm to 6 pm tomorrow, Thursday 13 August.

The ARPAS meteorological service reports that "clear skies are expected with afternoon cloud cover near the mountains" associated with "isolated showers or thunderstorms with weak or locally moderate cumulative clouds."

Furthermore, "isolated strong thunderstorms are possible near the reliefs in the eastern sector".

Minimum temperatures will remain stable or slightly decreasing, while maximum temperatures will remain unchanged.
