Sassari, a camper area dedicated to Faradda to expand tourism options

A dedicated parking space for campers and motorhomes will be available in Sassari on August 14th and 15th. The Municipality has provided this space to accommodate the expected large influx of visitors, especially tourists, expected for the Faradda festival in two days' time.
The parking area, which can accommodate 40 vehicles, is located between Via Pirandello and Via Bellini and will be reserved for campers and caravans from 8:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14th until midnight on Saturday, August 15th. During this period, parking will be prohibited for all other vehicles in the affected spaces, which will be marked with appropriate temporary signage.
On Friday, August 14th, starting at 6:00 PM, the Discesa dei Candelieri (Descent of the Candles) will begin in Piazza Castello, the most popular event in the city of Turrita, concluding a day that includes the dressing of the candles from early morning in the various Guild halls.
