With the mid-August cockroach disinfestation season approaching, the Municipality of Cagliari is suspending all business permits to allow Proservice operators to operate in complete safety. Theirs, the business owners, and their customers.

The decision was made by Alessandro Cossa, municipal director of the Productive Activities sector , and concerns August 13th and 14th, between 8:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The affected areas are the Marina and Stampace neighborhoods.

Concessions will be suspended tomorrow, August 13, in Piazza Yenne, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, and in Via Sardegna, Via Dettori, Via Baylle, Via Napoli, Via Barcellona, Via dei Mille, Via Cavour, and Via Roma, as well as in Piazza Aramu and Piazza Savoia.

The next day, August 14, it's the turn of Via Sardegna again (but on the side facing the Regional Council), Via del Collegio, Via Concezione, Torino and Viale Regina Margherita.

The provision states that "in balancing the interests involved, the protection of people's safety and security should take precedence over the economic interests of commercial operators and that, therefore, it is necessary, to this end, to sacrifice the interests of public land concessionaires by providing for the suspension of the relevant concessions."
