Over 1,700 people checked and three suspects: the "squeeze" of the railway police on holidays

1,731 people checked and 3 investigated: these are the results achieved by the Railway Police Department for Sardinia during the Christmas holidays, from 18 December 2021 to 6 January 2022, thanks to the intensification of checks in the stations and on board the train, also for compliance with anti-Covid rules.

Overall, 159 patrols were engaged, including 120 in the stations, 6 along the line and 13 on board 23 trains.

Six anti-drafting services carried out, in civilian clothes, to prevent and combat crimes such as, in particular, thefts and scams, usually on the increase during holidays, also due to the greater influx of passengers.

The operations, according to the police, were carried out regularly and without particular criticalities.
