Many children in the province of Oristano risk being left without a pediatrician again . From next December 1st , Dr. Gregorio Camarra , who works in area 2, made up of the municipalities of Baratili San Pietro, Bauladu, Milis, Narbolia, Nurachi, Ollastra Simaxis, Riola Sardo, San Vero Milis, Siamaggiore, Solarussa, Tramatza, Villanova Truschedu, Zeddiani and Zerfaliu, will retire. And for now, no replacement is in sight.
In recent weeks, the ASL has asked Ares Sardegna , as always happens in anticipation of the retirement of a general practitioner or a pediatrician of free choice, to publish a notice for his replacement .
"Unfortunately, no pediatrician has applied to fill the remaining position at the moment - the management of the ASL of Oristano informs - The families of the small patients, who have been treated by Dr. Camarra up to now, can opt for Dr. Marta Vargiu, who works in the same area, until the maximum capacity of one thousand patients is reached, by going to the "Choice and Revocation" desk of the Oristano district, or by following the online procedure via the regional portal "Zente Web". Alternatively, the same families can choose a pediatrician outside the area, subject to authorization from the pediatrician himself and subject to availability to accept new patients".
The ASL also reminds that the new specialist pediatric outpatient service is operational at the Oristano outpatient clinic, in via Michele Pira, with Dr. Dina Fantasia, who visits small patients on the ground floor of the ASL 5 health facility, from Monday to Friday.
Families with children in the care of a GP can book a visit with Dr. Fantasia through the Single Booking Centre . While parents of children left without a paediatrician throughout the Oristano area can book a consultation with Dr. Dina Fantasia from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 12 pm, at the number 3487987866.
