Remove the potholes from the streets of Oristano . The Town Council , on the proposal of the councilors for Public Works and Roads, respectively Simone Prevete and Ivano Cuccu, gave the go-ahead for the definitive and executive project for the maintenance of the urban road system and the hamlets .
"Financed with a 600 thousand euro loan from Cassa depositi e prestiti and 700 thousand euro from the Region - explains the mayor Massimiliano Sanna - it is the first functional part of a larger project
of 2 million and 100 thousand euros , approved last April".The works will favor the most critical roads and where there is greater vehicular and pedestrian traffic .
"Among the most relevant interventions - Councilor Prevete says - the one for a long stretch of via Cagliari (from piazza Manno to the municipal market in via Costa), via Solferino, piazza San Martino , in Silì, Nuraxinieddu, Massama and Donigala " .
The restoration of the damaged surface , the replacement of the manholes with drains consisting of a prefabricated well and driveway grid, the adjustment of horizontal and vertical signs , the maintenance of the sidewalk flooring are envisaged.
A breath of fresh air that will not be enough, however, to completely solve the problems: the map of bad roads remains very extensive, with particularly critical situations in the historic center.
