Alessio Tonzanu, the 18-year-old resident of Sorso, remains locked up in the Bancali prison. He was arrested on charges of attempted murder and assault, following the brawl that broke out on the night between Saturday and Sunday in Sennori, between two groups of boys, one from Sennori and the other from Sorso.

The investigating judge of the Court of Sassari, Gian Paolo Piana, today validated the arrest of the young man and also confirmed the precautionary measure of prison, as requested by the prosecutor, Lara Senatore. At the validation hearing, Tonzanu, defended by the lawyers, Chiara Murgia and Gianluigi Poddighe, availed himself of the right to remain silent.

He is accused of having stabbed five of his peers, one of whom, on the brink of death, is hospitalized in intensive care and kept in a pharmacological coma.
