Queues and slowdowns on the first day of closure of the new bridge over the Tirso, leaving Oristano.
The construction site, which will last at least twenty days to allow the replacement of three damaged expansion joints, opened shortly after 9am to limit traffic disruption.

Traffic heading towards state road 131 has been diverted onto provincial road 93 (the ring road that leads from Oristano to the road to Silì) which will be one-way until 9 March. In reality, many motorists ignored the ban and also took the road in the opposite direction.

Long queues formed up to the intersection with via Vandalino Casu, where a municipal police patrol intervened. Traffic towards the Sinis coast was channeled into Viale Repubblica, but the absence of indications on alternative routes sparked some protests among motorists.
