Costa Cruises is ready to land at the Santa Giusta stop in Oristano .

There are two landings scheduled for May and September with the Diadema , and it is not excluded that others could be added.

The ship , among the largest of the Italian shipowning group - 306 meters long and with a capacity of about 5,000 passengers - will be housed on the public quay (500 meters long and over 12 deep) destined by the Port System Authority for cruises , so far, have stopped at the stopover in the south-west of the island.

Therefore, there are 3 confirmed landings on the calendar , including the one announced at the beginning of the year of the exclusive Sea Cloud sailing ship , scheduled for May 7th. La Diadema will be in Oristano on 23 May and 26 September.

Therefore, the planning of cruises in the ports under the jurisdiction of the AdSP for the current year is constantly evolving , with further additions to Olbia and Cagliari, but still ample room for negotiation that will be explored at the end of the month during the Seatrade Cruise Global in Florida.

"The landings of Costa Cruises in Santa Giusta - Oristano represent a huge success for the painstaking and covert work carried out by the Organization in recent years - explains Massimo Deiana , President of the AdSP of the Sardinian Sea - We open the doors of the port to some of the larger ships currently present in the Mediterranean , thus exploiting all the potential of the port from an infrastructural, safety, but also geographical point of view, both for the interception of the routes that already touch the port facilities of the western Mediterranean, and for a excursion offer still to be discovered».

"Precisely in this regard - continues Deiana - in full and fundamental synergy with the territory, we will immediately deal with local bodies and organizations , so that they can play their very important role in the delicate game of hospitality and services at a potential of cruise passengers which, depending on the load coefficient, could reach levels never recorded in the south-western port of call. Aspects that, in this crucial phase, will prove to be fundamental for retaining the company and definitively consolidating the market of the giants of the sea".
