"No more threats and screams, tears and silence, never again." A touching beginning but the whole short film is a crescendo of emotions and it couldn't be otherwise: "And you are there" is a video inspired by the tragedy of Chiara Carta, the thirteen-year-old from Silì killed by her mother in February a year ago.

Without ever appearing explicitly in the six minutes of film, Chiara with her lightheartedness is always present to send a decisive message against all forms of violence. This is the aim of the authors of the video clip, supported step by step also by Chiara's father, Piero Carta.

«It all started on the evening when Oristano stopped to take part in the torchlight procession in memory of Chiara», says Giorgio Ricci, author of the text. «The square was full of people, a surreal silence and hundreds of white balloons released in the dark of the night – he recalls – This scene remained in my mind and I immediately wrote a poem».

Profound words that became music with the arrangements of Giampiero Crobu, leader of the S'Undha group, and the voice of Marina Carboni. The final touch were the images and video created by Mauro Atzeni, who directed the short film. «The video represents various moments of life and there are many references to Chiara – he explains – some scenes are filmed in the gym she attended, you can glimpse her gloves and t-shirt». There are also scenes of violence strictly in black and white and then the colors of the field of ears where the girl played by Elisa Murru (Chiara's classmate) holds out her hands almost as if seeking help and first finds those of a friend (played by Elisa Soddu) then those of a man, the father with whom the little girl goes to the park and on the swings.

«Piero Carta shared the various steps but above all the objective of the project – they add – we want this video to circulate in schools to spread the culture of respect and listening». The maestro Antonello Manca, the musician Andrea Cutri, Gianmarco Sanna from the Geminiani school in London and the accordionist Nicola Piredda collaborated.
