A raid in the center of Telti resulted in poison being injected into the trunks of two historic holm oaks.

"Last night, on the central Via Manzoni, someone committed an inexplicable act against two of our historic ornamental holm oaks, majestic and perfectly healthy trees that have always graced our sidewalks." The city administration in Telti reported the incident on social media, also sharing photos of the resulting " act that deeply hurts us ."

" The trees were drilled through and injected with a harmful substance, a premeditated act aimed at taking the lives of living creatures that belong to us all ," the administration writes, asking for the cooperation of citizens in providing any testimony. "Due to the immense value we recognize in our natural and cultural heritage, we felt it was our duty to immediately file a complaint against unknown persons and will join the civil action in any criminal proceedings to obtain justice, not only for the injured trees but for every resident of Telti," the post concludes.
