Strict enforcement continues to protect the Asinara National Park's marine protected area, where violations detrimental to the environment continue to be reported. A tourist, aboard a tender with an outboard motor, entered the waters of Cala Sabina, approaching the beach, one of the "B" zones of the marine protected area .
The incident occurred yesterday morning in the body of water where there is a strict ban on motorboats, a fundamental rule for preserving the ecosystem and marine fauna of the Park. The boater was issued the administrative fine provided for by the implementing regulations and specifications of the Marine Protected Area, in accordance with the Framework Law on Protected Areas (Law 394/1991).
Last month, three dinghies were parked on the beach at Cala dei Napoletani , trampling the sand in defiance of all prohibition regulations. The Carabinieri of the Porto Torres Company will continue their efforts to protect the delicate and precious natural heritage of the island of Asinara in the coming weeks.
