The appointment was set for 11am and many even showed up early , but at 1pm the queue in front of the Oristano sports hall was still very long .

Hundreds , under the scorching sun, waited their turn to participate in the competition for accounting administrators announced by the Municipality.

Of the thousand enrolled, approximately six hundred showed up for the written test : they came from all over Sardinia to try to grab one of the thirteen places available with full-time employment for 24 months. The candidate registration operations, however, took too long and some of the candidates fell ill.

"We left Cagliari at 6 in the morning - blurts out a lady at the limit of patience - it's absurd." Outside the Sa Rodia arena there was no cover set up to offer shelter to the participants and not even a volunteer service for the distribution of bottles of water, despite the high temperatures.

«There was a lot of indignation in the square - observes the group leader of Oristano Più, Efisio Sanna , who went to the site to personally verify the inconveniences - at least the tents could have been put in place, as also happens for smaller events. And instead hundreds of people were abandoned for hours in the sun."
