The last fires of the tractor protest on the White Isle. The garrison, after two weeks, is demobilizing today but with a warning. "If the commitments are not kept, we will return to the streets and this time with more force."

The promise, that is, to establish a technical table, is the one made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani , who visited Olbia a few days ago, on the occasion of the electoral campaign.

«The proposal was to cut excise duties and taxes, direct and indirect, on agricultural diesel through the use of tax credits – recalls Marco Asara, farmer –, he seemed struck by the idea and took action by ensuring, in short times, an in-depth discussion. For us the minister was an intermediary figure between the territory, the national government and Europe, we are satisfied because we addressed the issue regardless of the upcoming regional elections".

Developments are also expected on the domestic front. "Honestly, we didn't expect all this interest from the people and also from politics - says one of the spokespersons of the Gallura protest, Francesco Geronimo -, we will give the new council time to take office, then we will wait for an interlocutor who will have to listen to us ".
