Earthquake in the city council in Olbia during its first session. In the courtroom the question of incompatibility of Augusto Navone, challenger of the re-elected mayor Settimo Nizzi and leader of the opposition was raised. His election was not validated for the position he holds as director of the Amp.

“The electoral campaign is over - declared Navone -. We expected to finally be able to start working for the good of the people of Olbia, but in the first session of the City Council, which has just ended, the agenda was a political trip against a minority which, it should be remembered, represents almost 50% of the city. The principle of legality has always characterized my path and that of the Great Coalition of which I am at the head. For this reason, in unsuspecting times, at the beginning of the year and before dissolving any reservation to fill the role of candidate for mayor, I commissioned several 'pro veritate' legal opinions from authoritative lawyers and professors of administrative law. All the opinions in unison define a framework for access to the candidacy, following a careful evaluation of the reference regulations, accompanied by numerous sentences of the Court of Cassation, also in the face of my role as director of the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara Punta Coda Horse". And he added: “The MPA management consortium is not dependent (art. 60 of the TUEL) or supervised (art. 67 of the TUEL) by the Municipality of Olbia. For this there is no obstacle to my presence in the City Council. With conviction we will carry out the defense of our position together. We believe that any initiative to deny access to my role as elected councilor will only have the political function of ousting the minority leader from the highest city meeting, resulting in a very serious violation of the basic democratic principle of giving a voice to those who currently represent half the city ".
