The Conference of Services for the offshore wind farm of Nurax Wind Power srl (north-eastern Sardinia, in front of a stretch of coast between Caprera and Olbia) and the start of the environmental impact assessment procedure for another large plant, that of Poseidon Wind Energy srl (near the Costa Smeralda).
Two technical notes sent to dozens of entities to communicate important formal steps of projects that will change the marine landscape of Sardinia forever. The Conference of Services of April 4 concerns the installation of a plant with a power of 462 megawatts with the activation of 33 wind generators.
While the communication of the procedure for the environmental impact assessment (promoted by Poseidon) refers to the offshore park about forty kilometers from the coast of Olbia, composed of 72 wind generators, with a total nominal power of 1008 megawatts. Two enormous parks, a short distance from the tourist resorts of Gallura.
And in the Poseidon request, there is talk of the impact on areas such as Capo Figari, Cala Sabina, Punta Cannigione and lsola Figarolo. Putting the two parks together, one can imagine an expanse of wind turbines occupying one of the richest marine environments in the world.
