The stunt of a thirteen year old who yesterday was the victim of an accident in Sassari risked ending in tragedy. His condition still remains serious.

In the afternoon the boy had taken the scooter without his father's knowledge and once he got on the Liberty 125 he traveled a stretch of Via De Martini, in the hamlet of San Giorgio.

Then, due to a distraction, he lost control of the vehicle, bumping into the side of a Panda and ending his race under a Punto, not far from his home.

According to some witnesses, the 13-year-old, while on board his moped, would have skidded after greeting a friend who was arriving in the opposite direction aboard an electric scooter. The boy was rescued by the 118 health workers who accompanied him to the Sassari emergency room.

In the accident he sustained injuries to his pelvis and trauma to the rest of his body. He is under constant monitoring by the doctors of the civil hospital, but he would not be in danger of life.

The local police also intervened at the scene of the accident, under the command of Gianni Serra who, after having collected the useful evidence to reconstruct the dynamics, proceeded to confiscate the motorcycle and the two cars involved.
