Walkways that stop halfway, very few "job" chairs and many obstacles that do not allow you to reach the sea beach.

It is the tour of desperation, of anger, of disappointment. This year too, most of the coasts of Oristano are not accessible for those with walking difficulties. The mayors of the province who have decided to make some spaces accessible to those sitting in wheelchairs are very few.

Alfio Uda, president of the "Sardegna Accessibile" association, founded some time ago to awaken the minds of those who should understand the needs of the sick, and to which many people with walking problems turn daily, raises the alarm.

“It's business as usual - comments Uda - for us there are fewer and fewer services. Yet it would be very little to install a small solarium with sunbeds, umbrellas and chemical toilets on every beach. We must live our days at sea independently."

The last beach that Alfio Uda visited, a few days ago, is Porto Alabe: “It's truly a disaster - he says - Walking along the walkway with a wheelchair is very difficult because the platforms are detached from each other. For the moment in the province of Oristano only the beaches of Mari Ermi and San Giovanni are accessible and equipped for the territory of Cabras and Arborea - it goes on - In S'Archittu, territory of Cuglieri, there is only a small stairlift, a job and a small wooden platform. We appreciate the effort but no big deal. That's not what we need."
