Nurse hit in Cagliari, awakening from pharmacological coma: «Pray for Francesca»
The condition of the forty-three-year-old who was mowed down by a car while going to work remains serious
The slow process of awakening from a pharmacological coma began this morning for Francesca Ruffi, the 43-year-old nurse found before dawn on December 22nd, unconscious, on the sidewalk in via Santa Maria Chiara in Pirri: she was going to work when she was hit by a pirate car.
The update on the health conditions of the woman, hospitalized at Brotzu, comes from her sister Marta, who releases a sort of health bulletin every day: «This morning», she wrote on social media, «the process of awakening from the pharmacological coma began : many more hours will be needed to evaluate the overall situation, which remains important." Then an appeal, which comes from the family: "We ask you to continue to pray."
The driver of the car who had mowed down the nurse, without stopping to provide assistance, was identified by local police officers, who, before arriving at the identification - on 24 December - viewed numerous videos taken from the cameras of video surveillance systems from the area: she is a 34-year-old taxi driver.
