The Cagliari stadium is not enough to remember the legend Gigi Riva.

The rossoblù fans dream of naming the Largo Carlo Felice after the flag of Cagliari, of which he was honorary president, replacing the statue on the pedestal with that of the champion.

«In Cagliari we all agree. The most beautiful street, the one that welcomes tourists, foreign students, those returning from a trip", we read on the Gigi Riva Fan Club Facebook page, "must change its dedication and have the name of a Hero , of a Legend, of a Myth that you represent everyone. Largo Gigi Riva".

«Gigi Riva is something immense for us Sardinians, just any initiative aimed at consigning his name to eternity. Everyone must know who Gigi Riva was, then for young people he is an example of the best human virtues." And again: «Largo Gigi Riva sounds great».

And a petition launched by Andrea Lecca for "Largo Gigi Riva - Statue of Thunderclap in place of Carlo Felice" is already appearing on the web, on change.org : «The wide street, the most beautiful street, the one that welcomes travellers, those who enjoy Piazza Yenne at night, those who return or leave for a trip, those who look at it enraptured from the top of Castello: this street must be dedicated to Gigi Riva – we read in the explanation -. Monuments represent what the population is truly attached to. Carlo Felice belongs to the past and no one is fond of him. Gigi Riva moves the hearts of all the people who live in this city. Largo Gigi Riva and statue immediately!

Not only that, there are also those who dare even more: «Dedicate State Road 131, the road that unites Sardinia and all Sardinians, to the memory of Gigi Riva?».
