Lorenzo Farci feared Shahid Masih, the Pakistani who killed his brother Mirko and inflicted on his mother Paola Piras with dozens of stab wounds leaving her dying in Tortolì in Ogliastra, on 11 May 2021.

So much so that together with their brother they had taken some precautions to protect their mother especially after she had denounced her partner, who did not resign himself to the conclusion of the sentimental relationship. The 24-year-old young man, who moved to Milan for work, testified yesterday morning before the judges of the Court of Assizes of Cagliari, recounting the difficult coexistence of that man within the family .

Lorenzo Farci, who filed a civil action together with other members of the family , answered the questions of his trusted lawyer, Marcello Caddori, during the hearing in which the President of the Court, Giovanni Massidda, declared the investigation closed debate and set for February 1 for the discussion of all the parties. The same Court did not order the psychiatric report of Shahid Masih, 30, present in the Chamber, as requested by his lawyer, Federico Delitala.

The Court also heard the psychiatrist Antonio Canu who subjected the alleged killer to a specialist visit in prison . He would have found a paranoid personality disorder but the Court did not order the psychiatric report. Paola Piras, who remained in a coma for months following the 17 stab wounds inflicted by Shahid, was not present in the courtroom, the defendant was instead . The woman and the young victim's family members filed a civil action with the lawyers Marcello Caddori, Paolo Pilia, Maurizio Corda and Maurizio Mereu.
