No from the Region to the two wind farms in the municipalities of San Basilio and Luogosanto because "they are not compatible with the surrounding environment" . The Council today approved two resolutions to express a negative opinion on the environmental impact assessment of the two plants, on the basis of the preliminary investigations of the offices of the Department of Environmental Defense.

Councilor Marco Porcu communicated it to Isili today, during a meeting organized by the mayors of the Sarcidano-Barbagia mountain community of Seulo and of the Unions of Municipalities of Trexenta and Marmilla to protest against the shovels.

«After last week's meeting in Barumini, this one in Isili is another public opportunity to express dissent on the installation of some wind farms - underlined Porcu -. Although they are largely the responsibility of the national evaluation commission, they still require a mandatory opinion from the Region, even if it is not binding ».

"The regional administration - the commissioner clarified - is convinced that any planning process on the location of energy production plants from renewable sources must start from the bottom, taking into account the requests and peculiarities of the territories concerned".

The two negative opinions are added to the one on the project which concerns Barumini: "I think it is right - Porcu reiterated - that Sardinia is called to play its part in the national energy transition programme, in the overall interest of the nation, but this activity does not it can disregard territorial concertation, also in order to preserve the territory which can and must first be destined for agricultural, pastoral and tourist development ".
