The ashes of Tonio Anedda, the emigrant from Muravera who died a few weeks ago in Germany after a long illness, were brought back to the town of Sarrabus where the artist-singer was born and lived for a long time before emigrating to Germany for work.
The blessing ceremony of the ashes was celebrated in the church of the Virgin of Nazareth and in San Giovanni Paolo II. In Germany, Tonio Anedda had settled in Krefeld with his family without ever forgetting Muravera, also writing and singing a song. The participation in the religious rite was great, with the church packed.
Before emigrating, he had been the lead singer of several musical groups. In Germany he opened a restaurant, but continued to write, play and sing. His famous song "Muravera" was the baptism of Muravera's internal matches for years up to the D series.
