Over four hundred kilos of sand, shells and pebbles seized at Cagliari-Elmas airport returned this morning to Costa Rei and Capo Ferrato.

The Muravera barracelli coordinated by Commander Daniele Battaglia took care of repositioning the stolen goods - the sand was contained in hundreds of plastic bottles that the tourist-predators wanted to take home as a souvenir of Sardinia.

Most of the pebbles and sand have been repositioned in the beautiful Capo Ferrato area. Some stones had been painted or messed up by tourists.

«We kept these – explained Battaglia – so that we could take them into schools and show students all the things that should not be done».
