Crash between three cars and a camper on state road 125 near Muravera.
According to an initial reconstruction, a Ford Fiesta, which was proceeding in the direction of Muravera-Cagliari, partially invaded the opposite lane, impacting with three vehicles. The camper, with two foreign nationals on board, overturned on its side, another vehicle ended up off the road.
The Fire Brigade of the Cagliari Command, San Vito detachment, intervened, straightened the vehicle and freed the two people inside.
Among the drivers and passengers, five people were injured and were transported by 118 health workers to the Santissima Trinità hospital in Cagliari, the Policlinico in Monserrato and San Marcellino in Muravera. All the injured were classified as yellow code.
Also on site were patrols from the Radiomobile Unit of the San Vito Company and the Carabinieri Stations of Villasalto and Castiadas.
The accident caused long queues on the former SS 125, currently the only passable road between Muravera and Cagliari, with heavy traffic slowdowns until the road is completely reopened.
