Mortal on the 131: overturns with the Apecar and is run over by a Punto

Tragedy this morning at the gates of Sassari.

A 68-year-old from Sassari, Domenico Francesco Pinna, died on Statale 131, at the gates of the city, on the Mascari ring road.

The accident took place shortly after 9.30: the 68-year-old was driving a Piaggio Ape three-wheeler when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control of the vehicle which overturned. A Fiat Punto arrived from behind and hit the Apecar.

The 118 staff tried to revive the man for a long time, unfortunately they were unable to do anything: the impact was too violent, which left the 68-year-old no way out.

Firefighters and local police also attended the scene.
