Another hard-working day for firefighting teams in Sardinia.

The men of the Forestry Corps, supported by two helicopters and also by the SuperPuma which took off from Fenosu, are in action in the Desulo area, for a large fire which broke out in the Girgini forest area, on the Gennargentu ( READ ).

Aircraft were also in flight to put out the flames in the countryside of the municipality of Serramanna , in the locality of C. Cixi, in San Nicolò d'Arcidano , in the area of Coddu sa barracca, in Senorbí , in the locality of Turretta, and in Riu Saliu, in the territory of Monserrato .

In the last few hours, a fire has affected the countryside of the municipality of Carbonia , and in this case too, in addition to ground teams, the intervention of a helicopter was necessary.

Alarm also raised in Quartu , in the Pitz'e Serra area , due to a violent fire – fueled by the wind – which devoured the dry brushwood near some houses on Via Danimarca, threatening several homes.
