Tertenia: Patient taken to hospital by air ambulance after suffering a wasp sting.

Moments of great concern in Tertenia for a local pensioner stung by a wasp. The man, a resident of the village, developed a severe allergic reaction within minutes of the sting. The situation escalated quickly, prompting the emergency services to call 118.

The Croce Verde ambulance was requested to the scene yesterday morning, but was already engaged in another incident in the area at the time. Given the potentially serious nature of the patient's condition, consistent with anaphylactic shock, the Sassari 118 operations center ordered the immediate dispatch of the Areus helicopter.

The helicopter reached Tertenia within minutes, picked up the patient, and headed for the Lanusei hospital. During the flight, the man's condition appeared less serious than initially feared. The helicopter landed at the Lanusei fire department's helipad, and from there the pensioner was transferred to an ambulance and taken to the emergency room for checks and treatment. His condition is not reported to be particularly serious.
