Things are getting serious. Tomorrow, Monday, October 12th, a large stretch of sea—about 750 square kilometers— off Cape Teulada will transform into the scene of a naval battle with live fire.
The news emerges from the order published yesterday by the Cagliari Coast Guard, which provides for the closure of approximately 750 square kilometers, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, based on a request from the Cagliari Western Navy military command.
The purpose of the order is unequivocal: naval unit firing training. It states, "A special order has been requested to close off a body of water to allow for the safe conduct of a live-fire exercise."
The sea area "is declared dangerous for maritime navigation and the mooring of vessels in general, as well as for fishing and all activities related to the use of the sea."
