More and more Sardinians are trying their luck with the Italian Lottery. According to official data from the Customs and Monopolies Agency, 111,480 tickets were sold throughout the region, an 8.4% increase over last year's edition.
At the provincial level, Cagliari – also for demographic reasons – is still the leader with 36,080 tickets sold, +8.5% compared to 2024. Following closely behind, as reported by Agipronews, is Sassari (33,760, +9.5%).
Among the other provinces , the highest percentage of sales compared to 2024 is once again recorded in Oristano (16,720, +21.2%).
Southern Sardinia bucked the trend, dropping 3.9% to 16,180 tickets. Nuoro closed the count with 8,740 (+7.6%).
As reported by Agipronews, over 9.6 million tickets were sold nationwide, an 11% increase compared to last year, when approximately 8.6 million tickets were sold.
For several years, the Customs and Monopolies Agency has linked the game to the "Let's Draw Fortune" project, a competition dedicated to artists with disabilities who created the 12 works depicted on the Italian Lottery tickets.
