Monsignor Baturi's blessing for Beniamino Zuncheddu

A letter to be delivered to Pope Francis . With this mission, the Archbishop of Cagliari, Giuseppe Baturi , greeted Burcei after blessing the town and embracing Beniamino Zuncheddu , the 59-year-old former farmer who spent 32 years in prison following his life sentence for the triple murder which occurred in 1991 in Sinnai.

Zuncheddu has always professed himself innocent and awaits (Tuesday) the ruling from the Court of Appeal of Rome on the review process.

Today in the parish hall of the town, the embrace with the archbishop, the mayor Simone Monni, family members, friends in a short prayer meeting organized by Don Giuseppe Pisano.
