The owner of the Interior Ministry arrived on the island in the morning and, after a first stop in Asseminello - "I supported Cagliari and Gigi Riva", the Minister had already recalled -, the meeting in Sinnai with the students of the state comprehensive institute 2 , who have been carrying out projects on the topic of legality and the fight against bullying for years.

«A meritorious activity and an invitation , written by hand, which struck me and honors me very much , and which I therefore very willingly accepted», the first words of the Minister to the young people, who also recalled the State's commitment against phenomena criminals who are constantly changing and against whom we must therefore never let our guard down . The students, starting with little Thomas and Chiara from primary school, then turned to Piantedosi to illustrate the numerous activities carried out, defining themselves as " sentinels of legality ".

At the end of the discussion in the institute's main hall, a wreath of flowers was placed in the nearby Parco della Memoria in memory of the victims of mafia massacres and at the foot of the plaque dedicated to Emanuela Loi , the police officer escorting the judge Paolo Borsellino killed in 1992 with her colleagues and the magistrate in the attack on Via D'Amelio.

The Minister, accompanied in the morning also by the mayor of Sinnai Tarcisio Anedda , then moved towards Cagliari where, since 1pm, he has been involved in the provincial committee for public order and safety convened by the prefect Giuseppe De Matteis.

As for the visit to Asseminello, Piantedosi spoke of a " nice surprise " that he did not expect. During the meeting, in which he also had a conversation with Mr. Ranieri and the youth coach, there were many anecdotes about the legendary Cagliari of the Scudetto , of which Piantedosi, in addition to Riva, also remembered Ricciotti Greatti's legendary number 10 shirt .
