The conditions of the 76-year-old man who fell two days ago from the third floor of the Milis shelter remain stationary. The man is hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Sassari hospital where he was urgently transferred on Saturday afternoon and then underwent surgery. The operation was successful but the doctors have not yet resolved the prognosis.

According to an initial reconstruction, the elderly man fell from the balcony of his room on the third floor. The alarm was raised by some workers at the facility who found the 76-year-old lying on the ground. The 118 intervention was immediate, after the initial treatment the doctors opted to transfer him to Sassari where he underwent surgery on Saturday evening.

In the meantime, the police also arrived on site and started investigations to reconstruct what happened. «We are sorry for this accident – comments the mayor Monica Ortu – The intervention went well, we hope that our fellow citizen will recover as soon as possible».
