Inspection this morning at the Repatriation Center (CPR)   of Macomer , ready to welcome the works for the expansion of the structure which will lead to the doubling of the available places, from 50 to 100. The inspection in view of the upcoming innovations, desired by the new directives of the Meloni government.

The prefect of Nuoro Giancarlo Dionisi and the leaders of the police forces arrived in the town of Marghine: the police commissioner of Nuoro Alfonso Polverini , the commanders of the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza of Nuoro, Elvio Savino Labagnara and Alessandro Ferri , all welcomed by the mayor by Macomer Riccardo Uda. The works, which will also have to make the second arm of the former prison operational by transforming the cells into rooms with two or three places, will be carried out by a Roman company that won the tender launched by the Ministry of the Interior and managed by Invitalia.

The doubling of the Macomer CPR was already foreseen by the program agreement signed on 27 February 2018 by the Ministry of the Interior, the Region and the municipality of Macomer.
