A new discovery imprisoned by the metal fences that delimit the area of Viale Cimitero in Cagliari, where one day the metro will pass. An armored perimeter that does not stop the curious gazes focused on the crater in front of the oxygen fields.

The director of Arst Carlo Poledrini: «No discovery or discovery, it is simply a cavity that has already been reported to the Municipality», he underlines. «Archaeologists have already intervened and the area has been cordoned off as usual: at the moment there is no danger of any slowdowns in the construction site or any surprises ».

«It would appear to be a natural cavity, full of modern debris. It is unclear whether there was any ancient use. The access is sub-rectangular in shape and is instead artificial. It is difficult to define its use", reports Superintendent Monica Stochino.
